The Reading Quest stories are exciting, action packed adventures with recurring characters and high quality colour illustrations. These books will help readers make the transition from short, simple texts to longer, more complex ones. There are four series:
The Reading Quest Teaching Guide provides three photocopiable worksheets for each of the chapter books and reinforce comprehension, spelling, writing and grammar skills.
The Reading Quest chapter books can be used in conjunction with the CD-ROM or as stand-alone books for 10-15 year old reluctant readers. The narratives correspond to the themes of the four Quest worlds on the CD-ROM.
The Reading Quest CD-ROM is a software program created for a target audience of reluctant older readers with very low reading ages. The program provides a carefully planned developmental sequence of literacy games in the five key areas crucial for successful reading: phonics, word structure, sight words, vocabulary and comprehension.
Use on PC and Mac computers or interactive whiteboards. The Reading Quest program runs from the disk or can be installed on a school network.
