Young Adventurer Atlas: The Poles and Oceans is aprt of an 8 volume series, representing the 8 major regions of the world. It encourages young learners to explore a part of the world in depth. The world ocean covers about 70 per cent of the Earth's surface. It also contains about 97 per cent of all the water on the Earth. Most of the rest is frozen in glaciers and icecaps. At the top of the world is the North Pole, surrounded by the Arctic region. At the bottom of the world is the South Pole, surrounded by the Antarctic region.
Each volume provides information about the regions by exploring the countries, people, cities, plants, animals, transport, leisure, farming and industry.
