About the series

The Windows on Literacy series enables you to integrate your Science, Maths and SOSE/HSIE teaching outcomes within your literacy lessons. These reading books support the full array of Literacy skills essential for developing readers, while also introducing and reinforcing key features of information texts. The Books are visually appealing to young readers and feature stunning photographs from National Geographic’s extensive picture library.

Each reading stage includes several Big Books for modelled reading and a Teaching Guide. The teaching guide contains reading and writing skills photocopiable worksheets and runnig records for each book, as well as lesson notes and teaching strategies to assist with planning for guided reading sessions.
