Reading Levels 13–18
Fluent texts encourage students to use a range of strategies to break down meanings. They draw on an extensive bank of high-frequency words that they can quickly recognise. The texts feature more complex graphic organisers to convey information.
The Fluent stage books include:
- topics that cover a wide range of interest levels
- more complex language that reflects the structure of information texts
- more complex nonfiction features: high-lighted vocabulary, labels, charts, lists, diagrams and glossaries
