The Early stage books include:
- longer and more complex sentence structures
- more variety in sentence patterns
- strong picture/text clues
- introduction of specialised vocabulary related to the topic
- more complex nonfiction features: captions, indexes and tables of contents
- introduction of graphic organisers – simple charts, graphic symbols, maps, picture glossaries
Integrated Maths and Literacy
A unique feature of this exciting new series is the maths reading books. Students are introduced to mathematical concepts in a visually stimulating way. Layers of complexity are introduced gradually, as the series progresses, covering maths outcomes comprehensively in Number, Measurement, Space and Chance and Data. Problem-solving is integrated throughout the series. |
