The Targeting Text series deals with nine of the most common text types used by high school students. Each book provides you with all of the information you will need to teach three text types effectively. These include:
- A comprehensive summary of each text type that expalins its purpose, audience, structure and language features, along with skills students will require and develop when using the text type
- Sample annotated texts that pinpoint the structure and language features of each text type for your students
- Background lesson ideas with photocopiable worksheets to help introduce the text type
- Four separate and complete units of work for each text type, including sample texts, teaching ideas and associated black line masters.
