Readers
Emergent and Early level books
20 books per land, each with 16 pages. Each book measures 160 x 200 mm. For each reading level there are 2 books, one portrait and one landscape.
Early-Fluent level books
10 books per land, each with 24 pages/ Each book measures 170 x 210 mm. These books have spines. 1 book at each reading level – levels 11 through 20.
Big Books
Each land has 3 Big Books – one book from Emergent, one from Early and one from Early-Fluent. These are large copies of one of the small books. The Big Books are 468 mm high and 375 mm wide – always portrait.

Each land comes with its own Teaching Guide that covers all 30 fiction titles, nonfiction titles and Readers’ Theatre
Readers Theatre
Each land also has 3 Readers’ Theatre books, one Emergent level book, one Early Level book and one book for Early-fluent readers. Each Readers’ Theatre script includes a variety of levelled parts so that all readers can be included in this motivating classroom activity. A STORYLANDS Readers’ Theatre early level script will have parts that range from reading level 6 to reading level 10. The scripts allow students to become the characters from STORYLANDS in engaging read-aloud classroom theatre.
Literacy Centres
Full-colour, cut and laminate activities ready made for your classroom. An integrated set of activities that use the characters and setting of the land to create motivating full-colour literacy centres for students to practise essential reading and writing skills. These literacy centres can easily become a fully integrated part of your class's teaching and learning process.
Nonfiction
Each land also has two 24-page nonfiction titles, one emergent and one early level. These books provide crosscurricular content and reinforce essential sight word vocabulary in a high-interest format.
Posters
Each land will come with a poster – a map of that land which will join together with the other maps to make one large map of the storylands world. |
