Speaking and listening, with their vital roles as primary modes of communication, have an important place in the school curriculum. Ready-to-Go Speaking and Listening provides teachers with ideas and activities to help students develop skills and confidence in speaking and listening.
The various starting points, BLMs and task cards can be used to complement integrated classroom work or to teach specific skills, or can be dipped into as required. These activities will help develop students' skills and strategies in speaking and listening, expand their knowledge of the structure and features of spoken texts and provide opportunities to experiment with a vareity of texts and contexts. This series promote good listening skills through exercises that engage the whole class, whilst reinforcing studentsí understanding of purpose, audience and communication.
