“I luurrve your hair,” Mitzi says cheerily. “It’s full of hiding spots.”
“Hiding spots?” I ask.
“Oh, never mind. What can I do for you?” she says.
“My sister says I need a new hairdo for the school dance,” I explain. Next thing I know, my hair is done and I am in front of a mirror next to my sister.

At the moment I have long, straight hair. A long, long time ago I had my hair shaved at the back and sides with a long, wavy bit over the front. This style is called a ‘reverse mullet’. I’ve also had my hair spiral-permed. I looked like a lion. Both times, the hairdresser said I looked “fabulous!” and I believed them!!??
