| Emma reached for the jug. At that precise moment her third sneeze of the day arrived. Emma and Alice stared at the jug and clutched each other’s hands. The milk rose from the jug in the shape of a belly dancer. It leapt down onto the table and gyrated towards the edge.
In the book Sneeze Power, Emma's sneezes are causing strange things to happen. Her sister Alice's hair stands up in a cone, then spilt milk turns into a belly dancer. When the girls' mum enrols them in the pony club they are keen for everything to run smoothly. But when the awful ronald Higgins turns out to be in Emma's class she is very pleased that her sneeze causes him to flip around and ride his horse backwards. She is even more pleased when he gets into trouble for 'horsing around'. The sneeze power seems to be catching and one of Alice's sneezes leaves Mr Higgins with his pants down, while their dad's sneeze causes a wheelie bin to go for a ride in the morning traffic. |
