“Please let me come to your party. I’ve travelled such a long, long way.” Batty peeped up at Oliver and squeezed out a tiny tear.
“Pleeeeeaase?”
“Oh, OK,” said Oliver, giving in. “But don’t you dare bite anyone. I don’t want any of my friends turning into vampires.”
Author: Chris Bell Q: Why didn’t the girl go out with the vampire? A: Because he was a pain in the neck. I love a good joke, a corny one too. I like a story with a twist as well, but even I was surprised when Batty fell for Miss Finch. I hope they live happily ever after — I bet Oliver does too, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what (or who) arrives from Aunt Rosita next year.
