| The Science Through Sport series has been designed to reinforce scientific and mathematical principles through the use of sport science concepts. Each title contains interactive computer-based simulations, practical software user guides, glossaries, important background information about the topic, photocopiable activities, investigation questions, task answers and PowerPoint slides.
Force, Mass and Acceleration
One of the most difficult areas of study for students is the scientific application of mechanical principles to objects and bodies that are in motion. Students who are not familiar with mathematics and science-based subjects can find the concepts difficult to comprehend. The interactive tools and teaching materials in this title make this area of study accessible and easily understood. With teachers and students able to manipulate mechanical principles as applied to sports such as rugby, soccer and golf.
The student activities have been written for the needs and outcomes of students in years 10—12.
Level 1 material will suit year 10 students, levels 2 and 3 are for more senior students.
